PCATI is seeking a Resource Development Officer (50% position)

The Public Committee Against Torture in Israel (PCATI) is seeking a part-time Resource Development officer based in Tel Aviv (partial remote work and flexible hours possible). The Resource Development Coordinator will report directly to the International Relations Coordinator of PCATI.

About PCATI

PCATI (www.stoptorture.org.il/en) is an Israeli human rights and social change organisation with 30 years of experience in battling torture and ill-treatment by state actors in Israel. The organisation uses strategic litigation and public advocacy, both locally and internationally, as a crucial tool for achieving justice for torture victims and generating social and policy change. PCATI offers work in a flexible and supportive environment, as part of a diverse, energetic and committed team.  

Summary of the position

Participating in the development and execution of the organisation’s fundraising strategy;          

Prepare project funding applications, monitor project progress and draft narrative donor reports;

Identify, initiate and develop new relationships with potential donors and partner organisations, including foundations, governments, NGOs and International organisations as well as private donors;

Sustain and strengthen liaison with existing funders, supporters and partners, and represent PCATI at partners meetings. 

Qualifications

Essential:

Native or near native English with excellent writing skills, and proficiency in spoken Hebrew.

At least 2 years of proven professional experience in project planning and proposal writing for non-profit organizations.

Basic experience with budgeting.

Strong sense of responsibility, ability to handle multiple tasks and work autonomously as well as in a team.  

Good communication skills and the ability to liaise with a diverse range of people and organisations.

Commitment to human rights and PCATI’s mission.

Desirable:

Proven experience in developing successful funding applications for governmental and international foundations. 

Existing networks with individual and institutional donors supporting the promotion of human rights in Israel/Palestine.  

Knowledge of Arabic or additional languages.
