War crimes in the interrogation room: PCATI’s case for the ICC concerning Torture and ill treatment of Palestinian detainees in Israel

In 2022, the Public Committee Against Torture in Israel (PCATI) and the International
Federation for Human Rights (FIDH), submitted a report to the Office of the Prosecutor of
the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Hague, requesting it investigates the crimes
of torture, inhuman and degrading treatment as part of its ongoing investigation into the
Situation in the State of Palestine. This report carefully documents the use of torture and
inhuman and degrading treatment (TIDT) in Israeli Security Agency (ISA) interrogations, and
analyzes how such acts are sanctioned by the Israeli judiciary.
