Noa Levy is a lawyer and an activist from Jaffa, currently completing an MA in Law at Tel Aviv University. Over the last two years, she has worked as a teaching and research assistant at the TAU Law School, served as the deputy chair of the junior academic faculty’s organization, and headed a research group at IPCRI (Israel Palestine Center for Research and Information). In the past, she worked at the law firm of Adv. Michael Sfard, addressing petitions to remove illegal settlement outposts in the West Bank, protection of unrecognized Bedouin villages’ lands, and human rights violations by the Police, IDF, and settlers against Palestinians in the occupied territories.
In her public work over the past few years, she coordinated the 2014 public refusal letter by soldiers drafted to the IDF, and accompanied the reservists refusal letter and that of the veterans of the 8200 intelligence unit. She was one of the founders of the new refusnik organization “Women Refuse” and was elected to the national committee of Hadash party and the central union of Maki.
